Motivated

The response I got with my one measly little quilt was so overwhelming and unexpected I was actually motivated to get up off my duff and pick up work again on another quilt. My husband is shocked! He came home last night from work and I was actually at the sewing machine, not passed out on the couch recovering from chasing around our sick two year old. I tell ya it's a miracle. If I keep this up I'll have another quilt to share in no time! (Crossing fingers, toes and just about every other thing that's flexible enough to cross.) Well I'm off to visit "the beast" my beautiful, really old machine. But here's a little snippet of the quilt I'm working on. What do you think?

  2. Oh so spring.....can't wait to see it completely finished...I think my husband gets sad when I go on quilting binges because everything else suffers so severely...cooking...housework...hopefully your kid feels better soon....my little one was sick last week...know the feeling....hang in there.

  3. I love the flowers, so pretty. Spring IS finally here! P.S. It's never an easy balance for me between crafting and real life... The family is used to my crafting and/or blogging binges, but they know housework is always on the bottom of my list. Just because it's my least favorite thing ever! Hope your little one feels better soon.

  4. I'm new to your blog. Just dropped by the look at your Quilt Festival post. Haven't seen it yet, but I think your flowers are beautiful! Glad you got motivated by the Festival. It worked for me too!

  5. Hi, Just wanted to thank you for your very kind comments on my blog, and have now discovered your blog! I so admire those who can applique. My abilities seem to stop not much beyond sewing a straight line, and maybe just the odd curve. Keep up the momentum!

  6. I'm a bit of a flower junkie, and I just love this piece. Good for you sacrificing your couch time for sewing. It's been a while since my kids were that small, but I do remember that kid-induced exhaustion!
